God Of War 2….Is this a joke or what, Crysis isn’t even mentioned, its a good laugh if nothing else

the list i dont care for, however most games there are good titles. As for COD 4 it wouldnt be on my list. COD4 is a great game, i just personaly dont like it. I hope its like Rainbow Six vegas, it has to grow on you. I am glad i got it as a bundle at Bestbuy with assisans creed so no big loss.

Halo 3 yes #1, Bioshock the same. the rest i cannot comment on i have never played but are all good games. they must have done something right to be on the list.

Anything Zelda is good?? Twilight Princess is not good. Barely adequate, and not worth the difference between the purchase price and the trade-in value. Wind Waker was atrociously bad.

It’s never a good idea to fall in love with franchises, because you tend to get served crap down the line, as the developers realize that at a certain point, a large number of people will buy anything that you slap the franchise name on (Yes, Doom 3, I’m looking at you).

As far as this list goes, what do you expect from Time? Video games aren’t their focus, so they probably polled their reader’s kids or something. Regardless, any list of this type is subjective simply by design. It’s not unusual to disagree with such a list.

Putting CoD4 at 6th with Halo 3 and Bioshock above it is lunacy. I enjoyed Bioshock, but CoD4 blows it away. Halo 3 comes fourth in that group of shooters, behind both Bioshock and Cod4, as well as The Orange Box. If you simply switch CoD4 and Halo 3 on the list, it makes a lot more sense.

These are all good games. Don’t get mad just cause your favorite game is not included. It’s a given that will happen with any Top N list. You can’t get up in arms over someone’s top n list that isn’t exactly like yours. It will never happen, so relax. These are reasonable picks and many of which are highly anticipated. They weren’t exactly way off the mark by listing ooo I dunno Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Ace Combat is barely questionable. If you have been living under a rock Ace Combat is a very good and popular flight combat franchise. Anything Zelda is good. Nuff said.

Also COD4, The Orange Box, and BioShock are all PC games so…

zedblade, why wold you say that there still way over half a million people that play the game on weekends. im guessing your a ps3 junkie who is mad at everyone, when you should be mad at yourself for wasting the money on that system.

the only game i think should be goty besides halo is cod4, only because it came out for most systems.

Halo 3 shouldn’t be at the top of any list, other then the Game that had most money spent on unachievable Hype list. What a disgrace. Other then that, the list is MEH.

They don’t seem like unreasonable choices to me. Ace Combat is definitely questionable, and my list would look different (as would most peoples’) but these are all well-reviewed, well-respected games. I was expecting to see things like That’s So Raven 2 and Horsez on the list from reading the lead-in on here.

While I don’t agree with the list, there are a few things worth noting.

1. We don’t know what “top” means in the context of this list. To be honest the criteria seems to change as you read through the list.

2. Our opinions may simply differ.

3. Its not a list meant to be fair to all platforms. This list is not written by some anti-fanboy bent on appeasing the gaming “camps”. I think this list is platform agnostic. That being the case, their is no compelling need to include a game exclusive to the PS3 if there are no PS3 exclusives that meet the aforementioned lack of criteria. Thats not to say that uncharted or R&C are not good games, but only 10 can be the top. Thats why they make these lists, to show us what, to them, didn’t make the cut.
