The Spore Creature Creator has been out for a week now, and with over one million monsters created and counting, it looks like there are going to be millions of crazy creatures running around once the game gets its official release.
During the week we have seen everything from phallic monsters, ones with large charms on their chests, and monsters that are nothing short of pornographic – but creations like that do not take much imagination. Work, yes, but not imagination.
With the Sporepeida growing by leaps and bounds everyday, really creative monsters are getting lost a bit in the shuffle so we here at Gaming Today decided to list what we feel are the top ten Spore monsters created thus far. Since there are indeed millions of these things, it is hard to list all of the cool ones, but we tried. Feel free to point us in the direction of some really cool ones that we can feature in a future post.
Here they are in no particular order:
1. The Viking Ship
2. Jar Jar Binks
3. Xbox 360 Controller
4. Wii Controller
5. Pokemon Pikachu
6. Bowser
7. Half-life Creatures
8. Helidevil – Spore Helicopter
9. Halo Covenant Elite
10. Pee Wee’s Playhouse Chair

Wow. That viking ship is amazing.
How is an Elite original?! The Playhouse Chair should’ve been number 1.

I’ll admit, I don’t consider remakes “original” but that 360 controller was awesome.
I made Kimbo Slice… I think he coulda’ been placed.

The viking ship is definitely the most creative I have seen.
Creative recreations, yes. Overall most creative? No. Afraid not. There are some really creative originals out there, and yet people are fascinated with recreations that don’t animate well or work well. Please do a Ten Most Creative Original Creatures category.
I completely agree with the comment from OpDDay2001… I actually created HeliDevil and it only took 10 minutes to put together, so to all those who spent ages creating much better creatures I feel guilty mine was considered more creative
