 The State of DS Homebrew

As I pointed out in an erroneous report earlier this month regarding rampant DS piracy, the R4DS – and many other chips like it – are part of the DS’ homebrew scene. If you’ve been blown away but what you see make it into retail games, I don’t know how you’d react to seeing the sorts of bizarre, crazy, so-far-out-there ideas that indie developers come up with.

Modojo has taken a good, long look at DS homebrew and has put together a fairly comprehensive report that looks at everything from DS Linux to a DS email client, an interview; everything you could want to know is probably in there.

If you own a DS and need a reason to justify buying an R4, this is the perfect read for you.
