The ‘Red vs. Blue’ Team Calls It Quits

Any legitimate Halo fan knows about the machinima classic “Red vs. Blue” from the Rooster Teeth team. Sadly, they are quickly approaching their 100th and final episode. In 4 and a half years, Red vs. Blue became a cult hit bringing in over a million views per episode. That figure only includes the authorized views. There’s no telling how many times episodes have been watched from YouTube or other sites with unauthorized copies.
The Rooster Teeth crew will go down in history as the true pioneers of machinima and have paved the way for the future of the genre. Red vs. Blue will be missed.
Um, you do realise that they announced this at episode 90? keep up guys…

Yes I do realize they mentioned it back then. I am a new writer here and realized no one had mentioned it here in the news section when I did a search for Red vs. Blue on our archives. I consider R v B coming to an end to be an important story, so decided to do a quick right up on it. The actual announcement was not all that widespread, so I put it here just in case anyone missed it. I also felt it would be nice to say something about one of my favorite web shows before they are gone. It was also late Sunday night in the middle of the morning.
RvB will NOT be coming to an end after episode 100. Anyone who properly read the announcement will see that it’s only the end of the BLOOD GULCH chronicles. Not of RvB. They are now 2 episodes away from episode 100 and they already stated their plans for making RvB in Halo 3. How can they make it in Halo 3 when they have supposedly quit? False.
why do people think it’s over? like Mike said, it’s only the Blood Gulch Chronicles. the most reasonable explenation is Halo 3, so far, doesn’t have Blood Gulch, or a version, in the plans, yet. but i’m going to miss the episodes. i hope they still make something, like an lot of p.s.a.’s or something. and how can you get tired of Halo? i still play whenever i can and i love playing in 4 to 1 matches when i win, can’t beat that feeling. and from what i’ve seen, any spin off seems dead on it’s feet, even though they have ok ideas.

they announced they would be done at 100 episodes on april fools day and they are going to make rvb for halo 3 (i am a star character in a noob machinima its called halo chronicles we should have the first episode posted on youtube in a few months my neighbor has the halo 3 beta so we’ll find a way to the better graphics.{in a later episode my charicter finds a teleporter and they go to the past which is halo 1 and we decided we would find another teleporter in the past and get back to halo 2 but we’ll probly just somehow wind up in the future}so, if a bunch of noobs will do halo 3 then they probly will to. bah!) they will just do what tehy did to get to halo 2 to get to halo 3 on episode 100 it just wont be the blood gulch chronicles
They will be missed, but they have to do something for Halo 3….they just HAVE to
why would they stop at 100 if they’re having so much success? And imagine how much better it’ll be in the Halo 3 beta complex! no way they’re calling it quits, so they’ll probably do what “dark dude” said and make them get to halo 3 from halo 2 like they did from halo to halo 2
Hey what about Halo 3. By the way they announced this on April first. It could be a cruel April fools joke. Anyway I agree with ??? listen to him. Something this successfull wouldn’t just stop. It still is a valuable investment for the Rooster Teeth crew.
I completely agree with dark dude. Because although they did say that on April 1st that they would be ending Red Vs. Blue, they probably won’t because on may 15th they said that they will be continuing Red Vs. Blue on Halo 3.

ok guys for those of us who have seen the last episode they hint twice at a red vs blue2. once visually. and once at the end when they say new game different map.
