*Sigh* I really should’ve seen this one coming. These days, it seems like Activision is slapping the “Guitar Hero” name on just about everything they can think of. So of course, it’s only natural that they’re releasing some action figures as well. The new line of figures, due out in the fall, will feature the characters of Axel Steel, Johnny Napalm, Lars Umlaut, and the God of Rock. They’re being produced by McFarlane toys, so you can expect an impressive amount of detail along with 15-18 points of articulation. So I guess you can arrange them in different rock poses, while playing your Guitar Hero Air Rocker and using your other hand to play Guitar Hero On Tour and checking with your local store on when they’re getting Guitar Hero: Aerosmith in.

I’m a big toy collector but McFarlane toys are beginning to become real P.O.S. Their so cheap its pathetic. “15-18 points of articulation” more like 4-6. It’s a pisser that all their doing is trying to milk franchise with their cheap collectables. The Halo 3 figures are as small as a GI Joe, their body parts pop off just by handling them, no word on what Halo Points do, and they come with huge packaging that only includes one freaking weapon and then they have the nerve to price them just as much as the Joy Ride ones (except at Walmart). The only plus McFarlane toys has is their detail but NECA is destroying them in that department. I just hope they improve their act.
