The Making of Heavenly Sword and Storyline Anime Trailers Pt. 2

We are all aware of the storyline behind Heavenly Sword, and the general consensus is that we all want to play it. Some of us, more so than others, have been waiting ever so patiently for Ninja Theory to finish working on this project, and with every new trailer or screen release – we die a little more inside.

The first trailer I am posting is Part 2 of the five part series: “Bringing Design to Life”. In this episode, we see the development of the characters Nariko, Kai and King Bohan, as they go from stills on a concept artist’s drawing board to moving, fighting beings on an animator’s computer screen. The developers talk about how influential Kung-Fu movies were to the development of Nariko’s fighting style, and Alessandro Taini’s concept art is absolutely brilliant to say the least.

The second trailer is the awesome Part 2 of the five part Animation Series: “Guardians of the Sword”. The dark anime style video is worth watching more than once. It shows how the power of the Heavenly Sword so strong that no mortal man can resist it. Yet, for those who succumb to temptation, the glory is fleeting. Wielding the sword carries a heavy, heavy price.

Heavenly Sword sounds like a fantastic movie plotline – and let’s hope that NEVER happens – I’ m talking to you Uwe Boll! September is the tentative release date, hopefully Sony and the creative geniuses at Ninja Theory won’t let us down.
