war armies The Lore Behind the Warhammer Online Armies

There’s a new Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning article up for MMORPG’s WAR Correspondent series. The latest topic is “The Lore Behind the Armies.”

Players can get a summary and a bit of backstory for each of th e three races in The Armies of Order and The Armies of Destruction. if you like playing human, there are forces on either side with different fighting styles. Both armies have elves, whether they’re the High and mighty kind or Dark and dirty forces. Unfortunately, the options remaining are Dwarfs who fight on the side of Order and the Orcs who inevitably align with Destruction. Now there’s a surprise.

This is a nice summary of a number of separate developer diaries put out on each individual faction for WAR. You can get an idea of which race and army you want to play in one article with out having to read six different sources.

and no space marines, retards shoulda done a 40k. that would be something diff, who wants another typical mmorpg.

imagine being able to play as a space or chaos marine…that would be brutal, even access to the advanced weapons as well as the futuristic war torn atmosphere, that would have been a much better less worn out idea.

WAR is actually a very good MMO.

Spending time in it’s closed beta showed me that it’s PvP is ALOT better then most MMOs out there.

It combines alot of elements from older MMOs, and some from WoW, and gives it a mature look and feel, along with rather solid gameplay. The game itself is geared towards PvP, where as you can gain Experience, Money, and Loot in the middle of a fight - being that you actually loot players, although not like Runescape where you get all their gear.
