phantcover1 The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass US Box Art Revealed

The US box art of The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass was released today and I have to say that I might like the Japanese cover art better. I don’t understand why the two are so different though. The Japanese cover art has Link sailing through the open seas, ready for any adventure that comes his way. And in the US cover art, Link’s just standing there…striking a pose… with some dude who’s got a map..

Man, the Japanese always get the good stuff.

I may be biased since I love the Japanese culture so much. I’m really into anime and their culture as a whole, so maybe that’s why I like the Japanese box art

I agree with you on the Japanese v US box art. I think the Japanese cover reflects the stylized the art of the game more accurately. I also like the movement in the Japanese cover art as well.

I can understand the difference in art style. The US cover art looks more adventure and action oriented, where as the Japanese cover art looks more cartoony and fun. This “Celda” style was one of the big critiques of windwalker, so I can underand why the US cover art is made to look more like it’s a game for the ‘big kids’

Thanks for your comment, but do you know how hard it is to come up with something to write about when the topic itself is just a box art cover? I could have simply wrote “Here’s the box art, see ya”, but I’m not that kind of writer. I like to make my readers think about things rather than stuffing pretty pictures and cool videos down their throats. Trust me, this job is a lot harder than you may think, so I really hope next time you decide to comment that it’s something that actually adds to the topic at hand, rather than cursing up a storm.

It’s a very good art, but… where’s Navi? She is very important on the game and isn’t at the box!
