‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’ Best Game Ever?

Top 10 Lists are all over the internet and definitely stir up some debate. Gizmodo UK reported on how readers of the Edge voted on the top 100 games of all time and Zelda landed the top spot. The top ten list is full of good games, but I really think some belong more in the second half of the top 100. Ocarina of Time was a great game and probably a top 10 in my book, but there are so many other games that deserve the top spot. Personally, my favorite all time game has to be Final Fantasy VII (PS1) and I’m sure most of you will argue with me about that. Another PC game or two on the list might also be an idea.
Well, here’s a topic bound to have a few avid gamers throwing mice and keyboards at each other. Gaming magazine Edge has just published The Top 100 Games of all time and the winner is…..The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.The 10-year old game for the ’Nintendo 64 platform scooped the prize for a number of reasons, including one that said it helped bring about a new era of 3-D gaming. It is one of only five games that Edge ever gave a 10/10 score to. The issue was decided by thousands of votes from readers, expert opinion from the game industry and Edge’s editorial team.
The Top 10 are as follows and yes, some of you will be shocked, and possibly dismayed:
1) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64)
2) Resident Evil 4 (GameCube, PlayStation 2)
3) Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64)
4) Half-Life 2 (PC)
5) Super Mario World (Super Nintendo)
6) The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Super Nintendo)
7) Halo: Combat Evolved (Xbox)
Final Fantasy XII (PlayStation 2)
9) Tetris (Various)
10) Super Metroid (Super Nintendo)I guess I’m surprised that there’s only one PC game in the Top 10. No Warcrafts, Command & Conquers, Dooms…

I have to agree with the top 9 at least – of course I am your typical Zelda/Mario nerd as you all know.
Finaly Fantasty is a fantastic game…but Ocarina is more fantastic. Also, Super Matroid wouldn’t be on there, because my number one would be Twilight Princess. Honestly, I think it takes Ocarina and makes it more brilliant.
I REALLY LOVED THIS GAME… WELL I STILL DO!!!!
The only reason i play it is coz no other game will beat this one. I loved seeing Zelda and Link in the Temple Of Time together. But the best temple is the Spirit Temple… I love doing the boss where you have to combine the ice and fire on the shield.
This game will never die!!!!!!!
