The Last Guy Trailer Looks Like an Urban Lemmings Game

Even without the text, I probably could’ve guessed from this trailer that The Last Guy was made in Japan. I mean, your task is to lead screaming civilians through an urban landscape away from giant monsters. That’s like a third of Japanese cinema (the other two thirds consist of anime and crime-fighting schoolgirls). The game is apparently slated to come out on the PSN later this fall.
Now I want a PS3…
This actually looks a little weird but intriguing.
My interest is piqued. I’ll have to keep an eye out.
heheheheheheheh, see, i have a PS3. i bought it when it was
still awesome. so there. this game looks interesting enough,
but unless they’re using high-end fluid dynamics and things like that,
i’ll be waiting for the 3D sequel.
because this really looks like a 2D map of *(wherever)* with
simple collision detection and AI routines on the monsters.
it’d be on the PSN as a freeware, if anything.
But then, this is only a tiny teaser vid.
