The History Of ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’

Ron mentioned earlier today that yesterday was Sonic’s 16th birthday, so I thought it would be nice to follow that up with a “history of Sonic” video from YouTube. This is one of the better Sonic history videos out there and only has a few minor flaws. I may be mistaken, but I think the video is missing a couple titles. Sonic may not be the guy he was years ago, but we have to give him props for temporarily knocking Mario off his mountain.

I don’t think Sonic sold out exactly.. Sega just died. To be honest though.. there hasn’t been a great Sonic game in years.
I believe that last truly great Sonic game was a little thing called “Sonic 3 and Knuckles”…2d really was a blast. Oh and Sonic Heroes. Biggest pile of ‘words I shouldn’t be saying included here’ I have seen in a long time. The only good thing I got out of that was a limited edition Sonic Heroes japanese memory card. That was sweet.
Anyhow, I digress.
Here’s to you Sonic, the fastest and undoubtedly one of the best, computer game characters around!
