I mean, they are trying to get him elected, right? Or maybe it was someone working on the inside, undercover, trying to bring the campaign down in a more clandestine manner. I think my imagination is more interesting than the real answer - which is that a 71 year old man cannot connect with today's youth no matter how hard he tries.
