The Daily Show Takes a Look at Games From Obama and McCain

There are few moments when the world of The Daily Show collides with the world of video games, but it usually results in awesomeness. You may have heard how John McCain’s Facebook page contains a knock-off of Space Invaders that’s somehow intended to promote his views (if not, just watch the video above). But it doesn’t stop there. No, keeping in line with the “Games That Are Older Than Many Voting-Age Americans” theme, McCain has posted his own knock off of Pong as well. Not to be out done though, Obama’s camp has put together a hardcore FPS to express his views. “Yes, we can…frag some n00bs! Yes, we can!”

When I was watching The Daily Show the night before last and saw this – I was completely baffled as to why anyone connected with the McCain campaign would allow such a laughingly horrible thing to be posted let alone be somehow connected to him.

I mean, they are trying to get him elected, right? Or maybe it was someone working on the inside, undercover, trying to bring the campaign down in a more clandestine manner.

I think my imagination is more interesting than the real answer – which is that a 71 year old man cannot connect with today’s youth no matter how hard he tries. It is just not scientifically possible .
