We have been talking about it since April, which you can read about here, here, and here - and now it is finally available, although I am not sure how popular it will actually be unless you are older than the bible like me.

The Cars 1978 debut and self-titled alum is now available for your downloading pleasure on XBL according to The Major. For 1200 MS points you can get the full album or each individual song for 160. Here is the full track list:

  • “You’re All I’ve Got Tonight”
  • “My Best Friend’s Girl”
  • “Moving in Stereo”
  • “Just What I Needed”
  • “I’m in Touch with Your World”
  • “Good Times Roll”
  • “Don’t Cha Stop”
  • “Bye Bye Love”
  • “All Mixed Up”

While I am not a massive fan of The Cars (esp their later poppy 80’s crap) I did enjoy their debut album, and if you are wary of downloading any of these, might I suggest you at least give some of them a try - I mean, at least four of the songs off this album are pretty good musically and other than the played-to-death “Good Times Roll” some are quite good.

“You’re All I Got Tonight”, “My Best Friend’s Girl”, and “Just What I Needed” are three good songs musically and are fun tunes; plus, “Moving in Stereo” should be very interesting considering it is such a synth-heavy song.  I am curious to see how they “Shake it Up”. Oh I did NOT just do that did I?

If you did not get that last bit there, then I am definitely older than dirt.
