The Best “Fan Re-Imagined” Games

Over at GamesRadar, there’s a great little list up called “The World’s Best Counterfeit Games,” which runs down some of the best games that were re-made by fans. However, the word “counterfeit” doesn’t work for me here; makes me think of those guys in the mall who sell cheap versions of Tetris crammed into a fake N64 controller. So I’m saying it’s the best “Fan Re-Imagined” games out there. No matter what you call it though, it’s still a pretty neat list. It goes through some games that were made by fans to resemble some of their favorite titles. Most of these are 2D recreations of popular games like Halo or someone’s own version of a Sonic the Hedgehog title, but they all look pretty fun. The best part though is that most of these are available for download for free (except, sadly, the 3D version of Chrono Trigger).
