Good news Sam & Max fans! TellTale Games announced today the closing of a six million dollar investment deal which will be used to hire new staff, support of new platforms, and new game titles.
The $6 million dollar funding came from San Francisco venture companies IDG and Granite. Granite’s Chris Hollenbeck says Telltale is “changing an industry while doing what they love.”
This new investment into TellTale will benefit us all in the future because not only will it get Sam & Max on multiple platforms, but it will hopefully revive the ‘point & click’ genre to it’s former glory days. Here’s hoping we get a new or remake of the King’s Quest series.
