team fortress 2

Valve has been hard at work on a new Team Fortress 2 patch, which should be going live within a few days time. This is not only good news for PC users, but for those who purchased The Orange Box for the Xbox 360 as well because Valve is also working on an update which will include all the goodies that were included with the PC version.

The patch for the PC will see the Teleporters being able to be leveled to 3 with the cool down decreasing as the character levels. Spies will be have the ability to recharge their cloaking skill when they pick ammo up off of the ground. Dispensers will also be able to level up to 3 and will not only heal faster, but generate metal faster as they level. Valve has also added a particle system and has upgraded the HUD to show stats such as death by critical hits, players that are over healed, and providing more information to medics when they are being hailed by other players.

In addition to these new changes and additions, gamers who have not had the opportunity to play Team Fortress 2 can now get the game for $10.00 over on Steam. If you have loads of money to burn, you can also get the complete Valve package for $99.99 which includes: Counter-Strike, Team Fortress Classic, Day of Defeat, Deathmatch Classic, Half-Life: Opposing Force, Ricochet, Half-Life, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Half-Life: Blue Shift, Half-Life 2, Counter-Strike: Source, Half-Life: Source, Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2: Deathmatch, Half-Life 2: Lost Coast, Half-Life Deathmatch: Source, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Portal, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, and Peggle Extreme.

Left 4 Dead will already run you $49.99 so spend the extra $50 and get not only a good deal but a enough games to max out the memory on your PC.

We will be sure to let you know when the patches for both versions of Team Fortress 2 are to be make available, so you may wanna check back with us.

Wow, what an intelligent observation and such a man of words!…. please tell, this IDIOT why the blog post on the official site does not say it has gone live? Unless we get the information from Valve or a reliable source, we have no idea unless we play the thing–which if TF2 is filled with such unfriendly individuals such as yourself, why would we want to?

Wow, the internet sure has the rudemongers out in force today. Hopefully it is just a phase…..

  2. dan says:

Get more serious about video games why don’t you? Play the game, upgrade your dispenser.

  3. Shawn Sines says:

The TF2 patch is live, but Dan could use a little lesson on politely correcting folks.

  4. Hutch says:

Um, well it did go live a little earlier hah… thing is.. you could also check the Valve news feed, which gave a rather extensive list of the things patched as soon as the patch was released. Look at steampowered.com.
Still no need to be rude…
However perhaps “Gaming Today” should add that feed to the list of things they should take a peek at now and then.

  5. Shawn Sines says:

Thanks for the suggestion Hutch. I know I’m adding it to my reader. I’ve been lazy because Valve usually does so good a job at announcing things.

  6. Stephany says:

Ok Dan, I will take your suggestion and play a game that does not interest me just to make you happy  Thanks Hutch for the suggestion, this way we will no longer have to rely on Valve’s slow email team.

The quality of the reader base here has gone way down hill and draws in the lowest forms of life out there lately. That is one of the reasons I do not frequent your sight as much as I used to. If I wanted to be part of a community that is full of 13 year old tards who get hard over insulting people, I would hang out on Destructoid more often. You all seriously need to cull these fuckers from your site or else be no better than XBL on it’s best day. Since when is being rude and nasty considered acceptable behavior? The internet breeds hateful, useless, poor excuses for humans and it is time sites started punishing these cromags by banning them from the sites they visit. Grow the fuck up all of you.

  8. Stephany says:

Meh… “Morons” don’t let it get to you. Let it roll off your back and just move on. And with that… comments are now officially “off” on this post to keep a brawl from breaking out. :-D
