Take Two Sues Over Pulled GTA IV Ads

Remember how the Chicago Transit Authority decided to pull ads for GTA IV from buses and other forms of public transportation in the Windy City following a Fox News report that accused them of promoting violence? Well, naturally, Take Two wasn’t too happy about that, and now they’re suing the CTA. The publisher has filed a lawsuit in the Manhattan federal court claiming that the transit authority violated their free speech and contractual rights. Take Two is accusing them of breaking a $300,000 ad campaign agreement that was set to run for six weeks and is seeking an order for the ads to be put back up plus monetary damages of at least $300,000.
Wait, you mean you can’t just take a company’s money, blatantly break an agreement with them, and then expect to get away scot free? Well, there goes every get-rich-quick-scheme I had in the works.

I can't beleive they CTA didn't see this comming. I hope this is a lesson to them. FOX is promoting stupidity and people are loosing money because of it, why isn't anyone doing something about that?

Fox is to big to get sued, the CTA is not as big and can be fought. I don't know what CTA was thinking, if they were to pull the ads they should of never of done it in the first place. I agree with the first comment about Fox News should be sued but I just don't see that happening.

If FOX should be sued, it certainly should not be for this. Since when is it a crime to express an opinion on television? There is no grounds for a lawsuit in this case. It would be hypocritical to sue them for presenting the opposite side of free speech. CTA however, didn't do their research AND broke their agreement.

Um its fox news, it simply needs to be sued just for being fox news.. everything thing they seem to do, be it on their main news channel or their local ones they are to anti-gaming.
Also,this may come as a surprise, news networks are supposed to provided factual news, not express there PC thug opinions, or in fox news case JC thug, pro-bush, anti-gaming etc.

The Man your retarded because if you had actually read all the comments you would have noticed that it was a suggestion/joke of sorts. I started off by saying FOX news should be sued since they are the ones who pressured CTA to take the ads down via their weak minded mentality. Then some pro I hate actual news guys came in to support the FOX news idiots.

Yes cause fox news never lies, makes up stuff, or provides false info like on Mass Effect.. " Slightly conservative news channel'… LOL. Nor do I like CNN, I have seen them bash gaming as well. First time I heard the "Why aren't people still playing pac-man!?" I like to ask that idiot reporter, Why are you filming this in color?! Go back to black and white if advancements in technology, gaming etc scare you. I haven't seen a news channel yet that didn't throw their PC or JC thug opinion at me.
