On Wednesday, Jonathan told you about the rumors surrounding exclusive downloadable content for Grand Theft Auto IV on the 360.
Today, a Take Two representative told GamesIndustry.biz, “The Grand Theft Auto IV episodic content is exclusive to Xbox 360.”
This confirmation dashes any hope that PS3 owners had of downloadable content through PSN. If you have the option, I would definitely go the 360 route for this one. You can look for GTA IV on both consoles on October 19.
I’d also like to mention that Sony needs to get on the stick with downloadable content for the PS3. I love the way PlayStation Network is set up, but they’re going to need content to drive the concept.

Man, this is a tough decision. There were recent reports that Rockstar was actually nerfing the PS3 version because of the 360’s “limited” hardware, and now this. Looks like the PS3 version isn’t getting the love it should.
I am going to say it again…
Screw the damn consoles and just release the PC version first
With regards to saying that the 360 version should be bought in favour of the PS3 version – I think it depends how much the episodic content costs before that decision is made…. from my experience the previous games have had enough content without introducing expensive add-on packs?
in my opinion, this gta is definently the best looking one i have seen ever, and the gameplay in great. but there are so many little things that were not included and were left out this time around, flyable airplanes, parachutes, bicycles, you cannot customize cars anymore. there are a whole slew of things that were removed for the sake of graphics. So add ons would be great to see, such as new MP scenarios or vehicles such as planes or tanks . The game is really good. but its missing all the little stuff that kept the game fun after you beat it.
My two cents
