Another short trailer from Gamer’s Day featuring footage from the upcoming Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise.
Not much is really shown in the video, other than the cool colors, loud piñatas, and a small clip of a moose getting wacked, but it still looks like it going to be just as zany and fun as the last installment.

Want more lovely details for the new Viva Pinata game Trouble in Paradise that Chris was talking about yesterday? Look no further folks because here they are:
- There will be over 100 different Piñatas in the sequel, including a chicken called ‘Cluck Norriss’, a Yeti (hey, that’s my dog’s name!), gorillas and moose that during Christmas time changes into a reindeer
- You can quickly go from one landscape to the next such as snowy winter wonderlands to deserts to catch these animals and share them with the whole wide world
- There is a special in-game card that will give you infinite amounts of money and will unlock every item in the game
- The game starts in a green control area where you can jump straight into the action without a tutorial so that you do not have to do all the weeding and fertilizing if you do not want to
- All help missions are optional
- Jump straight into the sandbox and play with your garden as you see fit
- You will start with more upgrade tools and money than you did in the first game, that way all you have to do is start enticing Piñatas into your garden and send them off to special parties and birthdays
- Cooperative play will feature the game and you can tend your gardens with pals and while this is only for direct play with the Xbox 360 at this point, Rare is working around the clock to implement this feature on XBL.
- In co-op mode, only the main player will have full control over the game and will not be able to build new houses or other constructions, but can help with tending the garden thus gaining a form of magic for every uselful act than can be used to turn objects in the garden into different things
Sounds like loads of fun. More details, like with Fable 2 and Banjo-Kazooie 3 will be released later this afternoon so check back with us as more detail emerge.

Capcom has released some footage of the multiplayer for the upcoming Bionic Commando Rearmed. The XBLA/PSN title will recreate the original NES game with updated graphics and several new features, like co-op modes and multiplayer (as seen here). Maybe it’s the single-screen fighting, the faux-3D graphics, or the randomly spawing power-ups, but this footage reminds me a lot of the gameplay in Super Smash Bros.. At any rate, the multiplayer looks pretty fun, particularly since I’d never considered how a Bionic Commando deathmatch might look before. Thsi game just can’t be released soon enough, in my opinion.

We received some new screens today for Mario Kart Wii and they show off some more of the courses you will be racing around. Like previous Mario Kart games, the Wii version looks like it is going to be a really fun game, and you don’t have much longer to wait, because it will be available in stores on April 27th.
Mario Kart Wii will include 16 new courses and 16 classic courses from previous Mario Kart games. For the first time ever, players have the option of racing with either karts or motorbikes. Players can also hit the road as their personalized Mii in addition to the handful of classic Nintendo characters found in the game. True to the series, the game features tons of racing, plenty of power-ups and oodles of objects for players to use to slow down other drivers, and the 10 battle arenas will keep players busy between trips around the circuit.
The Wii Wheel will also be sold as a separate accessory so that every member of the household can get in on the action. While the Wii Wheel is supported, so are four other control options: Wii Remote with or without the Wii Wheel, Wii Remote and Nunchuk controller combo, Classic Controller and even the Nintendo GameCube controller was not left out of the mix.

There will be four characters to choose from with different classes and in-game capabilities, there are 40 different maps to explore and over 32 different enemies to hack apart.
Thanks to wi-fi and voice over support, up to four players will be able to help each other slash their way through the dungeons as well as take part in other multiplayer functions such as Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Treasure Horder. All multiplayer modes can be played while sitting in the same vicinity or through wi-fi.

- New Music: Get in the groove with up-beat techno tunes that are synched to gameplay.
- New Mini-Games: Experience varied gameplay with mini-games (Rounds) that are launched mid-game – they add to the fun, and are a good way to rack up points.
- New Twists: Discover exciting twists to the classic game that provide swift, fast-paced game play.
- New Multiplayer Element:?Battle against a friend with the all-new multiplayer element, available on both platforms.
ARKANOID DS
- Explore three game modes that offer varied gameplay designed for a wide range of users.
- Compete against others with two or four person multiplayer options to claim the title of ARKANOID DS champion.
- Decorate ARKANOID DS with colorful designs by trading points gained through gameplay for fun backgrounds and icons.

Coming this Fall to a PC near you is Akella’s newest RPG/strategy title Disciples III: Renaissance. This is the third installment in the popular Disciples series and builds on the successes of the first two games by introducing a host of new features as well as the same style of gameplay that made the previous titles popular. This will be the first time in the series that the gloomy world of Disciples will be rendered in full 3D by using the Virtual Dream engine which will in turn allow players to experience this realm as it should be.
As a Lord of one of the fantastical races of Nevendaar, players must fight to restore their deity’s rule over the world by choosing one of three playable races: the Empire, the Elven Alliance and the notorious Legion of the Damned - each with its own unique units and city design. Advances have also been made in the gameplay which will allow increased fluidity in multiplayer games and less downtime when playing alone, while a new upgrade system allows the player to assign attributes to their leaders. The RPG inventory system in Disciples III has been tweaked and now includes player stats and abilities along with visual representation of character’s equipped armor, weapons and artifacts.
Recently, we were given the opportunity to ask Marina Vashurina from .dat, the developers behind Disciples III, to tell our readers a bit more about the third installment in this popular RPG franchise, and explain to us what makes Disciples III different from the other RPGs that seem to have oversaturatting the market lately.

Condemned 2: Bloodshot
Developer: Monolith
Publisher: SEGA
Price: $59.99
Platform: PS3, Xbox 360
Category: Action/Adventure, Psychological Horror
ESRB: “M” for Mature
Release Date: 3/12/2008
When I first heard that the folks over at Monolith were making a sequel to Condemned: Criminal Origins, I was both excited and leery at the same time, because let’s face it, sequels are not usually up to par with the original. Granted, the God of War titles seem to do justice to our favorite Spartan, but that cannot be said of the majority of sequels sitting on shelves. My initial disquiet over another offering of Ethan Thomas and the maimed world in which he resides seemed to mitigate slightly when I viewed the first set of screenshots from the game, and the more I saw, better I felt. The trailers looked great, the weapon selection was both pacifying and hilarious at the same time, and the overall ambiance the trailers portrayed finally allowed me to let my guard down completely for Condemned 2: Bloodshot. However, before I get too far ahead of myself, I would like to point out that while this was indeed a very fun and entertaining game, it was far from perfect. So far, to be quite honest, that afterwards when I had played through it a second time, I started to feel extremely let down.

For fans of Condemned: Criminal Origins who have been eagerly anticipating the release of Condemned 2: Bloodshot, our wait is nearly over. Today, SEGA announced that Bloodshot has shipped and this news has indeed made me one very happy lady. Normally I do not pre-order games, but I absolutely had to with this one considering how much I loved the chills and thrills the first one gave me and I cannot wait for the psychological horror promised with this installment. Hopefully there will be no mannequins this time around though - eek.
Xbox 360 owners will be able to get the first crack at this first-person action thriller, while PS3 owners will have their chance on March 18 - not sure why there is a delay, but it is not that much of one at least.
Just in case you have been living in a cellar here is the storyline for the game: Condemned 2: Bloodshot follows Ethan Thomas, and his inner demons, in a string of gruesome murders where players must use their deductive skills and brute force to track down sadistic serial killers. The game features all-new fighting mechanics and high-tech forensics tools, giving players the resources they need to unravel the mysteries and cope with every disturbing event. Developed by Monolith Productions, creators of the original Condemned game, Condemned 2: Bloodshot also introduces a variety of online multiplayer modes, delivering the most brutal hand-to-hand combat experience the first-person genre has ever seen.
This sounds like it will be drenched in awesome-sauce. I am keeping my fingers crossed that my excitement will not be in vain and that it will be just as fun as Criminal Origins. You can read the full press release after the jump.

Apparently, someone from Kaos Studios has let slip that their upcoming game, Frontlines: Fuel of War, will actually be able to support up to 50 players in online multiplayer matches. That’s quite a leap for a console title, and even more impressive when it sounds like the game is actually capable of more:
“We actually hit 73 during testing but we are taking baby steps as this is a pretty big leap,” one of the staffers noted.
Right now, there’s a multiplayer demo available on Xbox Live that supports up to 32 players. Sadly, PS3 owners won’t be able to get in on the action when the game ships this month, as that version was recently canceled. But don’t fret, PS3 peeps, you’ve still got 60-player battles to look forward to in Resistance 2.
