Flash Game Of The Day: Dwarf Complete

Posted by William on Sunday, February 24th, 2008 at 12:33 pm under Computer, Game Platforms

If you are looking for an addictive throw-back style action-adventure flash game, look no further than Dwarf Complete.  In a sea of flash games, it’s hard to find a jewel like this one.  The Japanese game itself is a little hard to describe, but it certainly reminded me of the old Zelda NES games.    The game is  very challenging and requires some puzzle solving skills.

Flash Game Of The Day: Manifold

Posted by William on Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 at 12:45 pm under Computer, Game Platforms

manifold.jpg

At first glance, Manifold seems like an extremely simple flash game. I wasn’t impressed at first glance, but the game is simply addictive. The object of the game tis to navigate the man through each short level by removing and placing an anomaly that will change the physics of the game. The first couple of levels are too easy, but the game gets harder as you go. It’s certainly not the toughest flash game out there, but it makes you think. Play the game after the article break!

I’d like to thank Andreas Poike for the tip.

Kung-Fu Election Game

Posted by William on Monday, January 7th, 2008 at 4:07 am under Computer, Game Platforms

kung-fu.jpg

Every once in a while, there’s a jewel hidden on the internet full of odd political games. I’m sure most of us are completely tired of the cheesy 2008 election games floating around. Kung-Fu Election presented by AtomFilms is not your typical el-cheapo internet flash game. Think of this game as Mortal Kombat meets Celebrity Death Match, just with politicians running for the election this year. Click HERE to check out the game!

A majority of free web games have super simple controls, but the controls for this one are slightly complicated. It may actually take you a few minutes to figure out how to properly control your character. 2008 has just started, yet I have a feeling this will be my favorite free web-based game of the year.

We’d like to thank Nikole at GameGirl.com for discovering this sweet game.

Flash Game Of The Day: Click Maze 2

Posted by William on Sunday, November 11th, 2007 at 12:14 pm under Gamer Life

click_maze_2.jpg

Fans of the original Click Maze will love what they have done with Click Maze 2. The concept behind the game is extremely simple like most casual flash games. Here, you click to move a red ball through mazes. The object is to click as few times as possible while making it through the mazes without touching the boundaries. It sounds simple, but the game does have a bit of casual challenge to it. The game is free to play at Hallpass, one of my favorite sources for flash game fun. To track stats, you will need to create an account with their site.

N3wton, Physics-based Flash Game

Posted by William on Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 at 3:33 pm under Gamer Life

n3wton.jpg

Every once in a while, a game can be educational and fun at he same time. I stumbled upon a new flash game called ‘N3wton’ which is extremely simple but can provide a little casual gaming fun. This game is based on Newton’s third law of physics. In simple terms, the third law is talking about how a force is a push or a pull upon an object which results from its interaction with another object. To put this game in simpler terms that that, it’s about shooting balls around the screen at the computer, getting hit with balls by the computer and basically just fun with balls. Check out the game. You might like it and actually learn a little about physics without realizing it’s actual learning. The best kind of education is when you don’t even realize you are learning something.

Click HERE to check out the game. In addition to playing the flash game, you can also chat with other people playing to kill some time.

Flash Game Of The Day: American Football

Posted by William on Wednesday, September 19th, 2007 at 7:14 am under Gamer Life

football.jpg

With the NFL season underway, things seem back to normal again in America. I decided to go on a search for a good casual football flash game and came up with “American Football”. The game is rather simple, as you use the space bar and two arrow keys for controls. The object is to simply complete passes without hitting the defenders. You have three rows of receivers scrolling across the screen at once. The furthest receivers seem almost impossible to complete a pass to, but I am sure it can be done. Check out the via link below for the game. The music accompanying the game is pretty good too.

Help Pamela Anderson Stop KFC From Hurting The Chickens

Posted by William on Monday, August 20th, 2007 at 2:06 pm under Gamer Life

pamela_anderson.jpg

I bet you thought this was going to be some political advertisement from PETA. This time, it’s actually a report concerning the coolest casual flash game I have played all week. PETA’s Super Chick Sisters is a Mario Brothers style flash game where you control chickens and eventually Pamela Anderson in the battle against the Colonel of KFC. I’m definitely not taking sides here, because I love chicken and Pamela Anderson equally. I know that’s a paradox of sorts, but we do live in a crazy world. The only thing the game is truly missing is a guest appearance from the Hoff. The famous Ron Whitaker once said, “chickens continue to exist on this planet only because they taste good”. Maybe he was right, but this is a fun game regardless of what side of the “eating animals” debate you are on.

The game can be found HERE. It’s available for play via the web, and download for PC/Mac.

Flash Game Of The Day: Red Ball

Posted by William on Sunday, July 29th, 2007 at 6:49 pm under Gamer Life

red_ball.jpg

Looks easy? It’s actually a very hard game. The object is to throw the red ball and hit the platforms in sequence. Sometimes the simplest games can be some of the hardest to do well in. This isn’t the greatest flash game ever, but certainly a good way to kill an hour on a Sunday evening. If you feel like you are up to the challenge, check out the game HERE. I’d wager that most of you don’t make it past the 3rd level.

Flash Game Of The Day: Naval Gun

Naval Gun is definitely an interesting flash game with amusing sound effects. If you are looking for Battlestations: Midway quality, then go out and spend 60 bucks for the Xbox 360 game, but this is definitely a nice quick fix if you are just looking for some quick naval battles. The game is good as long as you have a decent mouse and the skills to control it.  Click HERE to check the game out.

Flash Game Of The Day: Super Mario World Slots

Posted by William on Friday, June 29th, 2007 at 11:45 am under Nintendo, Games

My pick for today’s “Flash Game Of The Day” is Super Mario World Slots. It’s rather simple and self explanatory. Take a Mario World theme and add it to slots. There really isn’t much else to it. While you are waiting for the game to load, you can customize Mario’s look to kill time. Even though I consider myself a “hardcore” gamer, I also spend a lot of time playing various online flash games in my free time. Enjoy!

Flash Game Of The Day: Batman 2

Posted by William on Thursday, June 28th, 2007 at 1:52 pm under Gamer Life

batman.jpg

This particular Batman flash game is probably the best I have seen. It’s a fairly intricate game for a flash take on the Batman series. Batman 2 will keep you busy for hours if you are into flash games. The controls are simple, yet have a wide range of attack methods not normally seen in games like this. The actual game can be found after the break. It may take a couple minutes to load considering how large of a file it is.

Flash Game Of The Day: Streets Of Fire

Posted by William on Wednesday, June 27th, 2007 at 4:37 pm under Gamer Life

streets_of_fire_2.jpg

I came across an interesting flash game today called ‘Streets of Fire‘. Anyone who reads my articles should know I spend an insane amount of time playing crazy flash games when I’m taking a break from the consoles. This particular game is very simple. You use the arrow keys to control a little fire guy who sets buildings on fire and collects gas cans. Perhaps the best part of the game is the catchy “Streets of Fire” tune. It’s one of those annoying 80s sounding songs you would expect to see in a movie like Rocky or Karate Kid. Either way, the game is simple, yet addictive.

Flash Game Of The Day: Tommy Gun

Posted by William on Friday, June 15th, 2007 at 3:48 pm under Gamer Life

tommy_gun_flash_1.jpg

My pick for ‘Flash Game Of The Day’ is Tommy Gun. It’s an interesting cartoon-style shooting game. It’s a little on the violent side, so definitely not for the little kids out there. If this is your thing, check out the game HERE. Arcade 79 offers some other interesting free games as well. The music from Tommy Gun is like something from a B movie, but definitely a catchy tune. I have also inserted a couple screen shots after the break.
