T-Shirt Of The Day: Contra Code In Charcoal Grey

“Up-Up-Down-Down-Left-Right-Left-Right-Start” is obviously the most famous of all video game cheat codes. The code was used for many games, but commonly associated with the original Contra on the NES. The above shirt is available at 80sTees.com for $20.00 plus shipping. Purchasing a shirt like this would be a great way to show the world that you are an old-school gamer. It’s also a good way to celebrate Contra 4.
We recently reviewed Contra 4 for the DS. If you missed that hands-on article, check out the link HERE. Shawn had some great insight on the latest Contra game, so definitely check out the article.

And what does the code do for the new Contra 4 ? Don’t tell me it won’t be the first thing you try when you pop that bad boy into your console.
I’m not sure, but I’ll try the code.
2 “B + A”’s? Hrrrm, always thought it was Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select, Start (2 player mode)… I may be wrong, but I think your shirt has issues and only 3 guys.
Actually, whoever designed those “contra code” t-shirts obviously didn’t play the game much, because the code is “up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A. The select and start are NOT part of the code, start just begins the game, and the select button is only if you want to switch to 2-player mode. Those shirts always make me cringe, and I would be ashamed to wear it with the wrong code on it. The select, start part doesn’t actually bother me, because that’s the way I entered it MOST of the time anyways, but the fact that they left out the extra B, A is just dumb. Attention to detail is EVERYTHING.
