Swashbucklers of the Lesser Antilles! I Mean, Pirates of the Caribbean!

There are new screens up now for the new Pirates of the Caribbean game. Based on the classic Disney ride, the game will start off with you waiting in line for an hour just to get in the building, where you’ll board a tiny boat on rails that takes you through a wonderland of animatronic robots made from World War II scrap metal, all while you’re thinking to yourself, I flew down here and paid a hundred bucks for this? I should’ve just gotten drunk at the hotel’s pool bar.
Okay, so this game’s based on the upcoming summer blockbuster, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. In the game, you’ll be able to play as several of the main characters, most notably Johnny Depp’s character of Keith Richards from the Rolling Stones. The screens actually make the game look kind of fun, but I’m still skeptical given the usual curse associated with movie-based games. Still, short of commandeering your own ship and attacking other boats, this is probably the best legal way for you to get your pirate on this summer. Stupid RICO laws.
