I’ve said this a long time ago, the single best thing Sega could do at this moment is to merge completely with Nintendo and to start developing games with them….i know they have an Olympic game coming out but i believe then need to go a bit deeper.

Dreamcast won’t be it’s new name, but as SEGA is really good in keeping secrets (unlike Sony, Microsoft and others ), we’ll only know the name and specifications of the system when they’ll want us to… And believe me, they don’t want us to know anything for now. They won’t say they’re back before it’s time to say…

Anyway, let’s wait and see what’s coming and keep our mouths shut about the name SEGA before knowing what’s coming because it’s really annoying to see people that are always saying crap about SEGA just bacause a “friend” said it was bad. Anyway sega shouldn’t even bother if this is true. Consumers wouldn’t like it. Developers wouldn’t like it. Competition is good, but splintering the user base even more is bad news too. They would fail no matter how good their console is just because of overcrowding.

The reason i think the xbox brand is more like a sega machine is because they seem to chuck the xbox more sega titles. Not any other reasons.

From sega worlds and pirate tv and genesis to daytonas and virtua fighters, Sega indeed did loose a lot of credibility over the years for various other reasons but………..I dont think they should be ignored or discredited for any of there work in the industry. If some of there games were not around how would the standard be for video games.

Dumbest quote ever. Xbox consoles exist purely to attract people way from console gaming and into Windows based PC gaming. The 360 is the least console like console ever released. On the other hand though you are right to compare the Dreamcast to the 360.

The previous consoles released by both companies were considered commercial failures.

Both consoles were rushed out before the latest PlayStation.

Both had better online capability than the PlayStation.

Both took a huge early lead over the PlayStation with massive initial sales especially in the US.

Both were far cheaper than the PlayStation.

Both ‘didn’t need’ the next generation media disc format that the new PlayStation came with and stuck with the previous generations format.

The controller for its time was ok if you ask me. I do indeed think this is a stupid rumor. The only reason i think its stupid is because 80% of me wants it to be true, but then i actually come back to reality and think so ok they guna release a new console?……..I doubt itl be called dreamcast 2 or ‘dreamcast oh the other one we canceled’

If sega were to start with hardware again then the best thing they could do is………………..A dreamcast handheld. Dreamcast games in your hand exactly the same as when you remember them from 1999 sounds alrite to me. Crazy taxi, powerstone and soul calibur anyone?

For me waking up christmas day when i was ten and getting to play sonic and streets of rage instead of what i originally asked for ‘double dragon on a nes’ was the best christmas i ever had. Long live sega and everyone who ever created a game or a machine for the company. Fuk electronic arts. ………..Maybe if they supported the dreamcast we all would have seen dreamcast 2 a lot sooner and not just a rumor.

I still dont understand how they ‘EA’ ever had the cheek not to support sega when it was the genesis/megadrive that made EA who they are today. If sega did not allow EA to publish games on the genesis/megadrive would they even have been around when dreamcast was released.

I find the Dreamcast a depressing subject. I loved Sega. I had the Master System then the Megadrive but then they went and released a console with the most retarded controller I have ever seen (except for maybe the Atari Jaguar).
