Study Undermines Link between Violence and Video Games

Is it Americans who are just violent, or are Aussies just a bit more tame?

Earthtimes.org is running a story which details researcher Grant Devilly’s recent study in which he found no link between raised aggression and video games. This is obviously strange, because so many articles and groups have denounced video games as the spawn of Satan here in the United States.

“If you have a quite hyper kid, they will come down after playing a bit, but for the rest of the kids, the vast majority, it makes no difference at all in their general aggression rate,” Devilly said in the article.

These results are really hard to believe, especially when there are so many stories and press releases out there like this. But if you ask me, I think it’s a welcome change of pace.
