Is it supposed to make you aware of driving while drunk, or train you to drive better while you’re drunk? Let’s hope it’s the former.

Students at the University of Calgary and Professor Jim Parker have created a drunk driving video game where the object of the game is to try to get home while being under the influence of alcohol at three times the legal limit.

“A lot of people believe they could drive drunk. It’s not that big a deal, you just have to pay attention,” Parker said in a recent article on Canada.com. “The game simulates the issues that drunks have in terms of perception.”

In the game, you start out in the trunk, stagger around to your door and do your best to get to your bed. The game also gives players direct information on fines, penalties and consequences if they’re cited for drunk driving.

They should pass out mandatory copies to all incoming freshman in college.

Wow! I hope this helps all those idiot drunk drivers!!!! Drunk Driving is dumb! Im sick of this! i mean its so preventable! Here’s a poem:

    Kids on a street corner
    Comes a car from afar
    Hits them with horror
It’s not my fault police officer
The kids jumped in front of me
    I’m a very safe driver
All I had was a couple drinks
As the driver defends his reputation
    Sorrow invades the families’ situation
Tears wash away the blood on the floor
Knowing they won’t see their kids anymore
These accidents happen all over the world
Drinking and driving is the biggest reason
Help spread this poem to be read and heard
Drinking and driving is criminal and cannot be forgiven
Imagine it was someone you loved and cared for
Dying or forced to fight an unwished emotional war
Before you become the cause of a little girl on the floor,
If you want a better tomorrow, Don’t drink and drive anymore
