Strong Bad Premiere Game Episode Gets Release Date

Telltale Games is proud to announce that the premier episode of Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People launches August 11. The episode cleverly entitled, “Homestar Ruiner,” will be up on WiiWare for both North and South America while the PC release will be global. A WiiWare release date for Europe, Australia and New Zealand is soon to follow.
In the season premiere, Strong Bad’s plans to beat the snot out of his rival Homestar Runner backfire, and he ends up with an unwanted houseguest cramping his style. Now he needs to get life back to normal, by any means possible. Comical point-and-click gameplay progresses the story, with side quests, mini games, achievements, and an “extended play” sandbox mode that unlocks after the story is completed rounding out the game experience.
As Strong Bad, players will be pranking characters and using and abusing everything they can get their hands on as they unravel each episode’s comedic plot. They’ll also be hunting for Easter Eggs and hidden costumes which they can gloat over with their friends courtesy of WiiConnect24 technology.
Each new monthly WiiWare episode will run for 1000 Wii Points from the Wii Shop Channel. The PC version of Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People can be downloaded from Telltale’s website. You can pre-order episodes starting today for $8.95 an episode or buy a five-episode subscription for $34.95. Fans of Sam & Max will be familiar with Telltale’s offer to make a disc version available for the cost of shipping and handling to those who purchase the full series.
