Street Fighter the Movie Will Be Unsurprisingly Chock Full of B-Listers

Neal McDonoughOk, so maybe the title of this post says nothing overly surprising. We have known for quite some time that the movie is doomed before it even hits theaters because 1) it is based on a video game, and 2) the video game is Street Fighter. I never recall that game being heavy on plot or consisting of engrossing characters and while a face smashing free-for-all is fun for games, it does not make for a good movie.

Today, the word on the street - or the internet for that matter - is that the villainous M. Bison will be played by none other than Neal “PickleLip” McDonough whose claim to fame was the Emmy Award Nominated Sci-Fi Original mini-series “Tin Man“. Okay, maybe I made up the Emmy Nominated part, and it was not really his claim to fame because he has been in some decent movies during his career.

Here is the rundown of some of the other actors slated to appear in Street Fighter :

  • Michael Clark Duncan - Balrog
  • Chris Klein - Charlie
  • Taboo of The Black Eyed Peas - Vega
  • Rick Yune - Gen
  • Kristen Kreuk - Chun Li
  • Moon Bloodgood - Character to be Announced
  • Cheng Pei Pei - Character to be Announced

One thing good that I can say about the new Street Fighter movie is that it does not star Jean-Claude Van Damme like the first one did.

    This dude also was in Star Trek: First Contact……he played Ensign Hawk and he got turned into a Borg…..

  2. Heru-Ur says:

    Ok seriously, a much as i want to agree with the “its gonna suck” sentiment, ANYTHING with both Kristen Kreuk AND Moon Bloodgood has got something pretty damn good going for it.

  3. Stephany says:

    Well, I have to agree with you on one thing Heru, Moon Bloodgood is very pretty indeed.

  4. LaChandra says:

    I had to look up Moon Bloodgood cause I didn’t recongnize the name. I recognize the face though. I might be the only one who watches that show Journeyman and I hope they bring it back.

    But on a clearly different topic non game related (because I’m special that way), Jet Li and Jackie Chan are doing a movie together. I already got my money and I know what I’m wearing. I’m too excited I just had to share with you all.

  5. Norbit says:

    I love Moon Bloodgood :mrgreen:

    @Norbit: Indeed Norbit. I agree chicken is mighty tasty. I just don’t get what it has to do with this fine article.

  8. ManOfTeal says:

    Good grief Norbit, I knew you were an odd ball but damn…….that’s messed up.

  9. Norbit says:

    As I’m sure anyone with a brain realises the second post under my name was not actually written by myself. An ip check & ban would be a good idea no?

  10. Norbit says:

    I checked it myself & it was ManOfTeal who posted under my name. Very mature. I could have sworn he said he was 30 on another thread but I think he probably meant to say 13 :roll:

  11. Heru-Ur says:

    @LaChandra

    I thought Journeyman was awesome. Watched ever episode. Like a modern Quantum Leap.

  12. ManOfTeal says:

    @Norbit

    It was not me that posted that statement, perhaps someone who exists within the same public NAT as myself, but I assure you it was not me. A lot of the guys around here go to this site for gaming news, that’s actually how I found it in the first place.

    Plus

    That’s an aweful bold statement considering the technology that exists today to spoof IP addresses.

  13. Norbit says:

    So someone went to the trouble of finding out your ip address then posting from it under my name in order to insult me and set you up as the culprit? :lol: By an amazing coincidence they did this while you were also viewing this site and just a few minutes before you posted here on another thread LMAO

    Just face it, you acted like a little kid and you got caught.

    BTW I just noticed you got banned from VGChartz after making just 9 posts lol By another amazing coincidence the reason was for trolling and the last post you made was insulting people for daring to defend the PS3 against your rants. I found it even funnier that you rejoined the site the next day under a different name and posted comments sticking up for yourself (before you got banned again lol)

    You have pretty major issues.

  14. ManOfTeal says:

    @Norbit

    Getting banned form VGCharts is not exactly hard to do. As I have found out that particular ban was the result of my buddy/officemate using my computer and posting under my account. He thought it was funny, I did not.

    This is the same buddy/officemate of mine who posted here with the above statements. I appologize for his immaturity. I did not know he had done so.

    P.S. I plan to lock my screen from now on whenever I walk away from my computer.
