Street Fighter Movie Won’t Have Ken or Ryu; Will Have Buns

Those who were hoping to see at least a cameo by Ken or Ryu in the upcoming Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li are fresh out of luck it seems. In a recent Q&A that was posted the official film blog, producer Patrick Aiello said that the team behind the film decided to focus more on the origin of Chun-Li from the start:
“There are just way too many characters in the Street Fighter universe to cram them all into one film. We want to do each one the justice he/she deserves. So, in short, Ken and Ryu will not be appearing in this film. But, that doesn’t mean we won’t see our red and white-clad heroes in potential sequels…”
Hmm, I thought those two seemed noticeably absent from the cast. So two of the series’ most popular characters may not be showing up until a sequel. Of course, we’ll have to see how well the movie does before we know if there will even be a sequel. On the plus side though, Aiello did mention that certain characters would be donning their classic costumes, though not all of them:
“Now, as a result of this approach, it’d be silly to put Neal McDonough’s Bison in a bright red suit and captain’s hat with a pair of humongous shoulder pads. It works great in the video game, but in real life, it just wouldn’t look intimidating. The same can be said for Balrog. He’s an enforcer. A killer. A take-no-s*** brawler to the core. And so, how scary would he be on screen if he beat people up with boxing gloves and a pair of blue short-shorts?
All that said, do not worry. We haven’t turned a blind eye on the game we all know and love. At some point, Chun Li will sport her trademark buns (the ones in her HAIR!) and of course, Vega’s still got the mask and claw, for starters.”
I just don’t know what to think about the movie at this point. It does sound like it could at least be entertaining, but it’s hard to say for sure. Maybe the taint of the last Street Fighter film is still stuck with me.

I think the next film of streetfighter would be absolutely terrible since the first one didn’t workout so well, Especially not the right characters playing the roles of ryu and ken. Either lucyliu as chun-li or tia carrea, maybe robin shu as ken and rick yune as ryu cause they both are in shape plus they gotta be packed with muscle and look like the characters and to top that off just like the anime and have the story like the sf2v. Keep the same vega from the first movie except his hair looked light brown to blond. Zangief the same, Batista as Sagat, Broc lesner as M-Bison, Micheal clark duncan as Bal-rog, Dolph Lungren as Guile, Alyssa Milano as cammy, Billy Blanks as dee-jay,, there is no excuse for all the characters can’t be shoved in all one movie, besides they should’ve waited to put dee-jay cammy, fei-long and t-hawk in to quick cause the first movie could’ve been just sf2 campion than comes ssf2.
there will be no street fighter with ken an ryu think about it it’s goin to b worse then the last movie think realy hard about it Rick yune can play ryu perfect an maby paul walker can play ken trust me ur makin a big mustake for not puting ken an ryu i mean there the main charters in street fighter
i met to say there will be no street fighter with out ken an ryu im sorry for the mis understaning
