Street Fighter IV `Hadoken` HD (WMV)

Street Fighter is back and looking better than ever before. The above trailer features some early gameplay footage of the much anticipated Street Fighter IV. Street Fighter IV has a somewhat 3D appearance when it comes to character and background rendering, but still plays in the traditional 2D Street Fighter style. This may be a next-generation title, but will play in a “2.5D” style.

Compared to other current fighting games, I’m not exactly sure what SF IV has to offer just yet. Capcom has indicated that there will be online play which is really a requirement in our opinion. Unlike a lot of current games, SF IV will not have any kind of item collection or customization options.

Despite the lack of options, we are highly excited Street Fighter is returning to gaming. Some of the moves in the video look sweet, so we are reserving opinions a bit until we get some hands-on action. We should have more details on the game in the near future as the 1UP Network which we are a part of has been given some exclusive looks at the new title.

    LOL
This actually looks stunning despite people's remarks. Can't wait!
I just hope they keep the same button combinations from the oldschool games ;)

Gameplay-wise it definately looks like a 2d SF. Looks awesome. I just hope THIS time around they don't decide to exclude a huge part of the cast. SFIII had only… what? Ryu originally. They made up for it by finally adding akuma and chun-li.

I love Ryu's facial expression when he gets caught by Ken's Dragon Punch. I just hope other characters have the same reaction.
