According to a representative from Stormfront Studios a twenty year veteran of the gaming industry will be shutting its doors permanently after failing to secure key projects, which were unnamed at the time of this post.
The Bay Area-based developer recently finished its latest joint-project with Sierra The Spiderwick Chronicles but Stormfront Studios is best known for LotR:The Two Towers, Eragon, the original PC version of Madden, Blood Wake, NASCAR titles, and the original AOL-partnered Neverwinter Nights.
The anonymous rep from Stormfront elaborated a bit by stating during an telephone interview that:
“Frankly, we didn’t get pitched, and the project [we were working on] made no revenue. The economy is such that the projects that we weren’t winning, ended.”
Run by CEO, Founder, and President Don Daglow along with 33 employees at Stormfront have known of this news since Monday, and at this time any future plans for all have yet to be disclosed.
