SteelSeries has teamed up with some of the worlds finest professional gamers to raise money for the China disaster relief effort. Gamers can bid on items signed by the likes of MeetYourMakers, SK Gaming, Made in Brazil, Gravitas Gaming, TEK9, level99, Excello and mousesports. Items up for auction on eBay include the new SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse, SteelSeries 5H v2 USB headsets, SteelSeries Siberia Neckband headsets and a wide variety of SteelSeries gaming surfaces.
All money raised from the auction will be donated to RCSC, who has the established infrastructure to render direct and immediate disaster relief to the earthquake victims in China. The RCSC is the only national Red Cross society in the People’s Republic of China and is a humanitarian social relief organization.
“To be able to provide assistance to those in need at such a critical time is truly an honor,” said Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen, WarCraft III player for MeetYourMakers. “Generating the support of the world’s top gamers by partnering with SteelSeries shows how this community can quickly help our neighbors in the world and help bring hope back to this region.”
SK Gaming is hosting a dedicated page that will keep gamers updated on available auctions throughout the month. Its great to see the games industry and gamers banding together to help those in need without a lot of politics involved.
