Steam Offers Free Games for Owners ATI Radeon Graphics Cards

Valve has announced that, starting today, they will be offering Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch for download free of charge through Steam to people who own an ATI Radeon graphics card. Right now, if you sign up for a new Steam account and download the client, the program will automatically detect whether you have the right graphics card for the promotion, and then you’ll be able to download the two full games at no extra cost.
Valve also announced that that people who buy the new ATI RadeonT HD 2900 XT will also receive free downloads of Team Fortress 2, Portal, and Half-Life 2: Episode Two once they are released.
So if you just happen to have an ATI Radeon graphics card, you should probably get over to this site soon, while this promotion is still going on.

Hmm, I’m either or on ATI or Nvidia, used both kinds, and quite frankly, i have never noticed much of a difference, the cards lately have been overkill.
YAY! Finally, a boon to my ownership of this crappy Radeon! Don’t get my wrong, the card’s ok, especially for what I paid for it, but these ATI drivers have REALLY been causing me some buyer’s remorse. This just made my day. Thanks for letting me in on it, filefront.
