We may have over a year or two to wait until Blizzard finally rolls out Starcraft 2. Luckily though, Fantasy Flight Games could provide you with some new Starcraft action as early as September; that is, if your idea of “Starcraft action” involves a slab of cardboard. Their newest board game based on the Starcraft universe promises to bring all the complexity and fun of the popular RTS to a table top. Each game should take about 3-6 hours to play and can accommodate up to six players:
I have to admit, I’m little curious to see just how they can make all the different play mechanics work, such as moving cloaked Ghosts around the map. If you want to find out yourself though, it’s going to cost you $79.99 in September.

Great, original name, right there :p
Maybe this will surprise us and do as well as the WoW trading cards, which, didn’t they have a Leery Jenkins card?
Yay, chutes and ladders with Zerglings. They couldn’t make it into an full fledged RPG paper/die game, because that one is already called Warhammer 40k…
*drum hit*
I’m going to get 2 of these. One will never be openned, and the other will be played constantly until SC2 comes out.
The “faithful adaptation” part makes me really interested. It sounds like it may be very complex for a board game, but if I can own my friends face to face at a game I already own them at online, complex doesn’t bother me at all.
