Star Trek: Conquest of Europe Q1 2008

Bethesda has announced that Star Trek: Conquest will be coming to Europe in Q1 2008. The genre crossing title with both action and strategy gameplay will be available for the PS2 and the Wii.
Players will choose to martial Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian, Dominion, or Breen forces in an effort to control the known galaxy. The strategy part is all in the set up with gameplay shifting to ship level tactical view for real time combat.
I’m not sure I can see great success in store with this title. Players that enjoy strategy games have come to expect turn based combat. Action fans may find themselves bored during the strategy part of the game. Still it’s an opportunity to introduce a few open minded gamers to a new genre.
