S.T.A.L.K.E.R.’s Big Update

In a recent interview with CVG, Anton Bolshakov, the project lead on S.T.A.L.K.E.R., discussed a major update coming soon for the shooter:
“We’re preparing a big update with a new game mode – Freeplay, with no story tasks, including only the A-life driven ones, where the goal is to gain ranks, climb up in rankings, so as to become the best S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in the Zone.”
No word on when exactly this update will be released, but the developer has said they plan to make some announcements about the game at E3, so that might be one of them.
