S.T.A.L.K.E.R to Continue?

Shacknews is reporting that GSC Game World intends to continue the S.T.A.L.K.E.R game series beyond the recently released Shadow of Chernobyl. Apparently the company will have a formal announcement at the E3 Media & Business Summit in July. GSC Game World’s CEO Sergiy Grygorovych states that the positive player response and good sales makes the company confident that the franchise has legs and that his team is looking to take the game further.

While there are no concrete details at this point the original game introduced a number of traditional RPG elements to the primarily FPS game. Lets just hope that they can capitalize on the title in the next year or two – the last game had a pretty rough development cycle and was delayed several times.
