S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Dev Envisions of MMO

GSC Game World developers have been talking about creating an MMO based on the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. According to VideoGamer.com, GSC Game World’s Oleg Yavorsky said that the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. team is “considering different options,” which may include collaborating with a studio with MMO experience, but “hasn’t started anything there yet.”
“We also looked into that side and again it’s a totally different type of development which we don’t have experience of yet,” he said. “We’re considering different options there for development with someone who already has big experience of that. But so far we haven’t started anything there yet.”
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl and its upcoming prequel, Clear Sky, are open world survival horror first person shooters with RPG elements. The combination has proved very successful and seems well suited to transitioning to an MMO setting. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky is due out August 29.

i’d be more excited if they just added freakin 4-5 player co-op.. why doesn’t anything have co-op anymore, used to be you couldn’t find a game without it for the longest time and then poof it disappeared and started being touted as something worthy of a bullet point or basing a game around.
There was going to be true “open world” in the older versions of the game. Just watch a few of the older videos and see what was removed. I think co-op was one of the things cut, but I can’t remember for sure.

Aliens Colonial Marines…I just have to say that..because the game is going to rock..and be co-op. So when you are unloading down a hallway and screaming into your headset “WHERES WEIRZBOWSKI!?” your friend will be on you the moment a Six digit claw shoots from under the floor and takes you into Narnia(Simply because i now beleive that Narnia isn’t a world but simply a drug or pain indused coma in which you believe you are the king of talking animals and mythic creatures.)
