soulcaliburyoda1 1 Soul Calibur IV Vader and Yoda Exclusive to Separate ConsolesNamco Bandai dropped a bombshell yesterday when it revealed that Darth Vader and Yoda from Star Wars would be appearing as playable characters in the upcoming Soul Calibur IV. Unfortunately, that news also came with a catch it seems. Like they did for Spawn, Link, and Heihachi in Soul Calibur II, the two special characters will be appearing exclusively on separate consoles. Vader will appear in the PS3 version, while Yoda will grace the Xbox 360 version. So now you just have to decide whether you want to join the Dark Side or the Light. Or, you know, whether you want to play a short, stumpy Jedi or a tall black-clad Sith.

Thats dumb to seperate them, but i hope they have the other as DLC. I wont be buying this game either way. especaly if the 360 version dont have Darth Vader. the ultimate villain of all time. screw yoda. vader would squash him.

  2. ManOfTeal says:

Agreed it is total crap that they don’t include both Yoda and Vader in all versions of the game….

  3. PS3Jihad says:

    @ Da Soc

The Wii gets Jar Jar Binks

@Norbit – Cruel and unfair

I think it’s silly to divide it over the consoles like that. It’s hardly as if each one is from a game based off that console (al la SC2, although there are people wanting to see Kratos for the PS3 and Master Chief/Generic Spartan for the 360). I see absolutely no need to split these two over the consoles.

  8. Chris says:

Like I said in the other comment thread, I’ll be (relatively) happy with the 360 version and Yoda, provided he jumps around all crazy Episode 3-like.

Hopefully people will make a fuss over this and Namco won’t stick to its guns.

When they adding Final Fantasy characters to soul calibur? someone post a petition to the makers would you, the new dissidia looks good, but bein on psp wont be as impressive…. Sephiroth would kick both yoda’s and vader’s ass’s…

  10. William says:

that sucks, but I think I’ll have to go with Yoda

  11. Joelteon7 says:

@ warren – what you want is Ehrghiez. It’s a fight ‘em up on the PS1 (not a particularly good one, mind you) and it has various FF7 characters.

  12. weclock says:

    They need to fight!!!

    Also

    @warren
What you want is Final Fantasy Dissidia

  13. LightAce says:

Too bad there wasn’t a network that let’s PS3players and XBOX360 players play together.Alas this will never happen and the fight between yoda and vadar will never exist.

  14. Kareem says:

They should just put them together so you can have them fight each other! But I would have to go with vader. Cmon its frikkin vader! Anyway, I spooged my pants when I heard this.
