Sorry if I offended you. But after all, this is a “social online community offering” that was never promised in the beginning and yet, it is still being offered for free. So yes, you do sound like a spoiled and demanding little kid. Once again, if you also have a 360 to “play and chat with your little friends”, then what’s the big deal with waiting a little longer till the service is perfected? As far as the “game achievements” and such, the PS3 is NOT the XBOX360, nor do they need to copy Microsoft’s 360 online service, and frankly, thank heaven’s for that. They WILL get universal voice chat in due time. As it stands right now, I don’t need to list all the things the PS3 CAN DO verses the things the 360 CAN’T DO. We all know the advantages one system has over another.
I would sincerely hope that Sony never resorts to the type of business ethics that MS subscribes to, just to get ahead of the competition, like launching with KNOWN faultly hardware. I know, I know, I’m just talking to myself right? Ignorance is bliss.

I suggest you don’t open your responses with ‘dude grow up’, it makes you sound childlike. My expressing the issue Sony has (and it has one) should not threaten you so much and using a bunch of hacked platitudes is not conversation, its just you talking to yourself.

1- I am not telling them to release it before its ready, etc. What they do need to do is set realistic deadlines and meet them. That is what professionals do. Quality (as you so poorly mention) and customer commitment is about meeting expectations that they set. Being over schedule and over budget(which in all likelihood they area) is not the sign of good management.

2- The lack of universal voice chat is inexcusable and shows a lack of quality, not proof of it.

3- I am sorry you are poor and constantly have your $600 investment eating at you all the time, to that point that you have to go out and attack strangers to justify it.

I for one can also wait for Sony to get it right because I can play the 360, online with all my friends.

Maybe they’ll add some more testers to the closed beta?

I don’t own Both consoles. I WORK HARD FOR MY MONEY. I knew exactly what I was spending my hard earned money on when I purchased my system on launch day. I have been a happy console owner SINCE launch day. I have never EVER called customer support for I have not had ANY problems with my “launch console”. I have used my console daily and have left it on for hrs at a time and it has worked FLAWLESSLY. All of my discs are easily RESELLABLE because they have never, ever been subject to surface scratching. My console is also still in “like new”, polished condition with a considerate amount of resale value. It has been CONSISTENTLY upgraded and has constantly improved in value for FREE. FREE. It is still “getting better all the time”. I truly feel COMFORTABLE buying future products/services from the company that made my well thought out futureproof, solid state system. They have made many promises and they are delivering on those promises and then some. My $600 has been well spent on this generation of constantly upgradeable technology.

just like the extra time it took Rockstar to make what promises to be the greatest game of this generation, I think that Playstation Home will also be great when it finally rolls out. The best thing about it is that once again, it will be FREE.

Take your time SONY. Get it right.

Patience is a virtue. Be happy that they are doing the needed extended testing. No one wins when a company delivers an unfinished product. I really don’t need to give any obvious examples. Remember that good things come to those who wait. No need to rush an unfinished product to the market because of an impatient consumer who will then complain because the service doesn’t compare to the competitions service. If you want to buy your multiplayer games for the “other” console, then by all means, do so. I actually respect Sony’s commitment to trying to deliver a Quality product/service with the PS3, and if they need more time to get it “just right”, I applaud them for it, for it shows that they have the end consumer experience in mind over quick profit. They are doing a great thing with the PS3, trying to give a true nextgen entertainment experience. They are not primarily in the “software” business. This is the next big step for the playstation brand and I think they are definitely headed in the right direction. Take your time Sony. I’ll be here when you’re ready.

With the amount of delays Home is getting, I expect FLAWLESSNESS when it’s finally released.

While I understand the need to put out a quality product and I would not ask that Home be delivered before it is ready, you do have a problem. Online gaming as an experience is aweful on the PS3 when compaired to XboxLive. In particular, there is no excuse for not having a PS3 level voice chat feature in place by now. I was prepared to wait for HOME to get this, but what I mean by waiting is that any time a game comes out on both platforms I ask myself 3 questions:
- Does it have multiplayer? If so I go with Xbox360
- Do I care about the achievements (yes I do for some unexplainable reason)? If so I go with the Xbox360
- Do does it play particularly better on one sys or the other (so far this has been an issue against Sony)?

All this means for now I will keep buying multiplatform games on the 360 and only buy exclusives for the PS3 on the PS3. So with GTA coming out and no sign of HOME anytime soon (and therefore no GTA bling to show off in my new virtual apartment. And not easy and reliable voice chat, I will be playing on the 360.
