Sony PS3 Sales Up 2700% On Amazon

I called it long ago. All the PS3 doubters need to realize that it is a real player in this game. Sales figures are already jumping through the roof after the price drop. Amazon is reporting a 2700% increase in sales in one day. Yes, I said 2700%. Sit back and watch the PS3 continue climbing and it will become the “must have” system before the year 2008 rolls around. I’m definitely not a system hater though. I would encourage anyone to get all 3 systems if they have the dinero.

and E3 hasnt started yet!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s the same price as a blu ray player now. If there were any games and I really had a need for HD movies (I don’t), I would so buy one.
It’s sales haven’t gone up 2700% it’s position on the chart has gone up 2700% (27 places).
What I found interesting when I looked at the chart was that the second biggest selling item in video games was the PS3 Blu Ray remote which kind of makes a mockery of the HD-DVD group saying PS3 sales shouldn’t be counted as Blu Ray players.
i think thats great, i hope the sales do continue to rise. I am a Xbox 360 and Wii owner. both are great systems, mabe if the PS3 gets some more good games soon it may be worth the purchase. I have to admit it is a pretty sweet deal for what u get. But i dont have the cash to pump games into 3 systems. sofar the 360 games look as good and there is more selection. Like i always say its about the games. So when the PS3 has more great games, sure why not! this price competition is only good for customers, like you and I.
If it’s abit hard for you to understand, it’s a SALES chart by the way.
please stop the nit picking. of course I know they are Sales charts. and I personaly dont care. this is my last comment on this topic. you dont need to comment on my every post. so say what you want norbit. It is funny how people get personal over a PS3 or another persons comments. Please keep your comments on topic.
This is my last comment. I would like to appolagise to norbit for my last comment, i thought it was a comment directed toward my post on the sony press release about the $100 price drop, and i was unaware of the sales charts. i was on the wrong topic, and norbit made a good point for the topic. I appreate everyones comments and that what they are here for. I was wrong like i have been in the past. I appliagise to norbit and appreate the debate on the topic.
As for the PS3 sales, yes they are increasing, and i can see PS3 doing well in this upcomig year. I expect that people will buy the PS3 for games and the Bluray player. they will get a very rewarding system. I only wish Moneysoft would have a reliable product like the PS3, i am expecting a Red ring of death on my Xbox 360 anyday. its like a bomb waiting to explode.
Whoa, I didn’t even realize sony had dropped the price. I got my ps3 for $450 (2 weeks old) so it’s not important to me, but if it will give the system a shot in the arm toward market dominance, that’s great. I believe it is the best hardware available, not excluding the WII which has only made more use of its motion-sensing controller to date than sony has.
It’s only natural that there are fewer games for ps3 so far, because of its late launch and because it takes time to develop a great game for high-end hardware.
But Motor Storm, O that Motor Storm…
