Sony Preparing for Korean PS3 Launch

Next month will see the launch of the PS3 in Korea. Current plans apparently include the launch of only the 60GB version of the next-gen console. It is estimated to have a retail price between KRW 500,000 and 600,000 ($540 – $650 US).
Reportedly, Sony Korea is preparing an aggressive marketing campaign, and is witing only on the go-ahead for launch from Sony Japan. Sony has a hill to climb, as over 100,000 XBox 360’s have sold in Korea since launching there in February 2006.
