Sony Planning to Ruin Halo 3 Launches?

The rumor flying around the internet is that Sony may have plans to spoil some of the midnight launches for Halo 3. How do they plan to go about this? Apparently, by hiring people to attend the launches and yell out the ending to the game. Personally, I don’t think this would be exactly beneath Sony, but it wouldn’t be worth their time either. People are already there to buy the game, so how is that going to stop them?
Unfortunately, this is one of those rumors that we’ll probably never know if its true or not. Sony involvement or no, there’s almost guaranteed to be some d-bags out there who will go around to the launch and try to spoil the ending for everyone. They did it for the new Harry Potter book; why wouldn’t they try it for this? Odds are, the first videos of this will show up on YouTube in the wee hours of that morning.

Why? When have they ever done anything like that? I remember Microsoft hijacking the PS3’s EU launch in March but cant recall Sony acting like that. I can only assume that you have Sony and Microsoft confused somehow.
This is lame. I don’t think Sony would do it. They may be stupid but they’re not angry children. Beside this would be totally ineffective in “ruining” the launch. If they really wanted to ruin it, they would leak the ending and some videos all over the web right about now. Even that wouldn’t do that much.

Hey “ThatGuy”.You do know that Microsoft TRIED to spoil Sonys European launch right??? Kind of ignorant for microsoft. If Sony would have wanted to spoil Halo 3 and their 360 launch i’m sure they could talk with news people. After all they are affiliated with News Corp Fox (News Media), Warner Bros. and some other TV stations and producers.
The people yelling out the ending of the game better have really good insurance because I’m sure a few of them won’t be “finishing the fight”. LOL
I would not do the job of the spoiler for a $10,000… a person who does that will get trampled and in the confusoin, I would shoot him and get my Halo 3, afterwords. I WOULD SHOOT A GUY LIKE THAT AND I HAVE A REGISTERED GUN.

@ Brian. One person writing on a Wikipaedia page that Halo 3 graphics wont be much better than Halo 2 isnt the same as a company hijacking another companys product launch like Microsoft did with Sonys EU PS3 launch.

Ruin the ending? Who cares. All you fanboys on either side can argue all day. I have my pre-order and will be getting this on launch. I dont care who ruins who’s party or did in the past. Thats only lame fanboys who do that.
As for Halo 3 ending, that wont stop me from getting halo 3. its the online multiplayer is what i want. No yelling, screaming, fighting will stop it. The only thing to get in my way is the person ahead in line. HALO 3 will be great, have better graphics than Halo 2, and no Sony fanboys/Sony will ruin that experience. Sony only wish they had Halo 3, this game will top them all. thats my 2 cents and the truth, if a person is in line to buy Halo 3, they arent going home without it.

Absolutly not Norbit. I am not a fanboy like you are. I own a PSP, Nintendo DS, Wii, Xbox 360, PS2,Xbox and mabe someday a PS3. i dont like any game company. I tell it like it is. i enjoy debating with you, it gets you going and i enjoy your one sided sony ways, works for me.

Norbit sony suck, they are dare I say worse than microsoft, I agree microsoft may have tried to hijack the ps3 EU launch, but atleast microsoft don’t stick adware all over there software, and put rootkits onto your PC via there CD’s and DVD’s. somehow I think you may have been Sonyfied as it were. I don’t like Xbox 360, nor the PS3 I’m not a console person, but if I had to choise, it would be Xbox 360, because although i hate microsoft, I trust them a whole lot more than Sony, and this whole ruining the end of Halo 3 is very childish, and therfore proves than Sony are nothing but a bunch of sad sad children with nothing better to do than piss people off and be the most annoying company to ahve ever existed.

Halo is one of the few games i don’t associate with the typical “nerd” crowd.
Our entire football team plays Halo and if they get pissed off some heads are gonna roll

Too bad for you Norbit that you don’t understand the concept of meeting up with good friends and doing a little something different for a change. Taking a night off from seeing your girlfriend or your wife and 2 kids (as in somewhat’s case) to have a little fun with your friends is certainly not “nerdy”. It’s called enjoying life. You should try it someday.
