SEGA released Sonic Unleashed in stores across North America yesterday.
Developed by Sonic Team in Japan, Sonic Unleashed is filled with 2D/3D gameplay and fast daytime action including new moves that make Sonic even faster including the Sonic Drift (to corner quickly without losing speed), Ring Energy (faster speeds brings more ring energy), QuickStep (to move side to side without losing momentum), and Sonic Boost (uses Ring Energy to give Sonic a speed boost). Nighttime though, changes our hero into the strong and flexible Werehog – Sonic’s dark alter ego who comes out when the moon shines bright– and who can fight tough enemies as well as to climb and swing to new heights in each level.
Sonic Unleashed is currently available for PS2, Xbox 360, and the Wii and will be available for the PS3 December 2008.
