Sonic Candy Cigarettes – Only in the Philippines

Candy cigarettes and gum are pretty much forbidden in the country because they supposedly make children think it is ok to smoke. Personally, when I would indulge in these treats as a child, anytime I “pretended” to smoke with them, my Mother would scold me. Plus, I thought smoking was gross as a child, but did it in High School after being exposed to the devil sticks via a party where loads of beer was prevalent. So, to say that candy smokes make me want to smoke is just silliness, I smoked because – well just for the hell of it I suppose. ANYWAY, enough of my trip down memory lane and my opinions on what makes kids take up smoking.

These candy cigarettes found in the Philippines have Sonic endorsing them so to speak. While I am sure that this novelty item is just that, over here SEGA would get sued by every single special interest group known to man. Personally I think that they are kitschy in a cool sort of way, and if you are a collector of Sonic memorabilia, this would be a must have for your collection.
