SOCOM Confrontations Not the Only SOCOM For PS3?

Earlier this month, Kotaku chatted with SCEA’s Peter Dille about SOCOM Confrontations. As you might recall, Confrontations is the upcoming online only PS3 shooter that’s slated to be sold as a downloadable title in the Sony online store.
When asked about the feasibility of the first PS3 SOCOM title having no single player component, Dille said that Confrontations was simply a chance for developers to focus on a specific type of gameplay, and that it wouldn’t be the only SOCOM title on PS3. “In the case of SOCOM: Confrontation, the SOCOM franchise has been around for awhile and (the developers) were focused on a style of play that hasn’t been tapped yet,” Dille said. “I don’t think people should conclude that it will be the be all and end all of the SOCOM franchise.”
That sounds suspiciously like a SOCOM 4, or something similar, will be coming to PS3 in the future. For fans of the series, especially those that enjoy the single-player side of things, it’s definitely good news.
Ummm… When this socom title was announced so was the second one that will be released in 2008. Don’t think title has been confirmed, most likely will be called Socom 4.

on socom confrontation people should be able to put their backs on walls for cover,grab people for human shield,leg slide,and more conrols
and on socom confrontation people should be able to create cover like tip over table and more,and socom confrontation should have a sprint button to.
socom confrontation should let people use a combat knife like from call of duty 4
socom confrontation should use the cryengine2 to make socom confrontation look more realistic.
Well SOCOM: Confrontation looks great and is perfect the way it is nothing needs to change is already PERFECT.

socom confrontation should have a close combat button and a use knife like call of duty 4
i think that when you think about things to add to a game.. you realize it would help you alot if you could do certain things, but think about how difficult the play would be if other people could do them too.. i think the game should be left like it is.. but with a close combat attack

first that sound like mgs4 online and second they wont add that because there to many thing in socom controller already…..
