And the pleasant surprises for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl just keep on coming. The Smash Bros. Dojo today revealed that the upcoming fighting game will also include a number of trial Virtual Console games, dubbed “Masterpieces.” Basically, these are some of the game’s characters’ best work, including such titles as Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, Kid Icarus, Kirby’s Adventure, Star Fox 64, and more. Most of them will be timed demos however, which will send you back to Brawl once the time limit runs out. You can unlock more “Masterpieces” as you play the game, so you never really know what you’re going to get. Sure, it’s essentially in-game advertising for the Virtual Console, but at least they’re bringing their best stuff to show off. I can see why this game has been delayed so many times, with all the new things they’re managing to cram in.
