Smash Bros. Brawl Delayed?

It seems the recent news of Sonic joining the gang in Smash Bros. Brawl may have been meant to soften the blow of another announcement for the game. Apparently, reports are coming in that the game has been delayed in Japan until January of next year. No word yet on when the game could possibly come out stateside yet.
Well, this puts quite a big hitch in Nintendo’s holiday line-up. Let’s just hope Super Mario Galaxy is nothing short of amazing.

*does the emo* one of the only games I’m actually dying for and it’s getting delayed, hasn’t it already been? I hope that in the end, that delay will be beneficial for the game, or mario’s gonna gonna take a beating(starfox 64 commercial reference)
but theorically, if the release is due in january 2k8 it’s not really bad… I wouldn’t set a hobo on fire for this
