sixaxis Sixaxis Rumble Inadvertently Confirmed by EA at TGS

Over at the ongoing Tokyo Gaming Show, EA has inadvertently confirmed a new Sixaxis controller which supports rumble. This happened when journalists were allowed to go hands-on with Burnout Paradise. And it’s not like they could have just turned off the rumble feature to hide it – the Sixaxis controller at the demo has a nice “RUMBLE” sticker right on it.

Still, we haven’t gotten an official announcement from Sony, but at this point one isn’t really needed. Nevertheless, Sony’s TGS press conference is tonight and it’s extremely likely that the new Sixaxis will receive the official treatment then.

Its about time, the rumble for the controller sure adds a realistic feel to many games. without rumble games feel fake and you dont get to enjoy the feel of the controler and feedback from some great games. Racing games – feeling the curb/bumps, Shooters the recoil, etc…. sony needs this feature.

I wonder how this will affect MGS4…
