This is certainly a pleasant surprise – the 4X RTS Sins of a Solar Empire (which you can hear Shawn and Ron gab about on the most recent File-N-Forget podcast) has cracked 100,000 sales in just 23 days and was the best selling PC game last week, leading games like Call of Duty 4 and The Orange Box. 1UP gave the game an A-, so this isn’t a fluke – the game is just good.

I haven’t spent nearly as much time with it as I would like (covering conventions like GDC will do that to your spare time), but from what I’ve played, the game is tremendous. You always feel like you’re in complete control, even when you have dozens of planets doing dozens of different things. It’s a great feeling to be the head of a massive galactic empire.

Congratulations to Stardock on the game’s success. Hopefully the game continues to sell and we’ll see an expansion and/or sequel.

Sweet, I knew this game was going to be a sleeper hit. I hope this means stardocks supports it with some wicked patches/expansions and then sequel.

An extremely fun game. Only game i have ever seen to seamlessly combine the 4X with the RTS genre.

I have it and I can't stop playing it, veeeery good game just wish there were more race's with different technologies to research. It would also be nice to be able to design your own ships in the game. Other than that I would recomend to anyone who likes RTS and 4X games to run out and buy it.
